TechServ Consulting and Training specializes in providing top-tier engineering services for the electrical utility and telecom industries. We are currently seeking a Project Control Specialist with a focus on invoicing and P&L reconciliation to join our dynamic team.

 

Job Description:

In this role, you will be a key player in managing the financial aspects of our engineering projects. Your expertise in invoicing, profit and loss (P&L) reconciliation, and financial reporting will ensure our projects are financially sound, aligned with our budgets, and consistent with client contracts.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain control systems for accurate project invoicing, adhering to contractual terms.
  • Conduct thorough P&L reconciliation for projects, addressing any financial discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with project managers to monitor and report on project expenditures and revenue against budgets.
  • Produce detailed financial reports, offering insights into the financial status of projects.
  • Streamline invoicing processes in coordination with the finance department, enhancing financial reporting accuracy.
  • Use financial data to forecast project outcomes, identifying financial risks and opportunities.
  • Maintain meticulous financial documentation for auditing purposes.
  • Improve financial processes and controls within project management operations.
  • Train and guide project teams on financial procedures and best practices.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project control, finance, or related area, with emphasis on invoicing and P&L management.
  • Proficiency in financial software and project management tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial principles and strong analytical skills.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented approach, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial matters.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • CPA, CMA, or related financial certification.
  • Experience in the electrical utility or telecom industry highly preferred.
