The Employee Engagement Specialist must be an ambassador for company culture and employe experience, therefore the ideal candidate is passionate about providing excellent onboarding and engagement programs.

About the Role:
The Employee Engagement Specialist works cross-functionally to assist with creating and implementing strategies to enhance employee engagement and retention. As a part of the Human Resources team, the Employee Engagement Specialist promotes company culture and employee engagement through various programs including, and not limited to, employee onboarding, orientation, maintain accurate recordkeeping for annual compliance requirements, training and development programs, employee surveys, and offboarding.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Serve as an ambassador for company culture and employee engagement
- Welcome newly hired employees and execute the engagement plan throughout the onboarding journey; managing the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring a great experience for new employees and a smooth start into their roles
- Manage a comprehensive onboarding program including coordinating with recruiters and hiring managers, timely communication to newly hired employees, and gathering of all required documentation
- Serve as the primary point of contact for managers and newly hired employees throughout the onboarding process
- Create clear policies and employee handbooks that explain company policies and operations
- Facilitate an engaging orientation program for all new employees, providing accurate information and setting an example in TechServ culture
- Maintain various files and records as needed and as required by law, such as I9 documentation, professional certifications, and annual compliance documentation.
- Manage required and ad-hoc drug screening
- Assist the Director of Human Resources in developing and facilitating engaging learning and growth opportunities for employees
- Develop and implement a process to gather employee opinion and engagement data
- Aggregate employee feedback and survey data, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights and recommendations to leadership
- Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly reports for leadership
- Assist Marketing with employee special events, including and not limited to team building, holiday events, and recognition
- Challenge the status quo and proactively identify process improvements
- Manage any special projects assigned by the Director of Human Resources
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- A passion for company culture and employee engagement
- Experience with employee engagement programs and surveys
- Experience facilitating highly engaging orientation programs
- Experience meeting onboarding and offboarding requirements
- Proven track record of cultivating strong and trusting relationships with cross-functional partners
- Self-starter with ability to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical skills to create and interpret reports
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency working with an HRIS/HRM
- Proficient in utilitizing Microsoft Suite Programs, encominning Teams, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Minimum 1 year of experience, and proven work experience in human resources
- Must currently be eligible to work in the United States of America
- High School diploma or GED, required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field
- SHRM CP or SCP professional designation
Physical Requirements:
- Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and standing.
- Alternates between sitting, standing, and moving about the office to access office equipment and filing cabinets
- Must be able to push, pull and/or lift up to 15 pounds at a time
- Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner at all times
- Requires working under stressful conditions to meet deadlines and company needs
Reports to: Director of Human Resources
Job Type: Full Time, Exempt
Location: Tyler, Texas
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00, extended hours as needed
