Talent Acquisition Specialist

We’re seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to help us source, identify, screen, and hire candidates for various roles in the company.

About the Role:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist works cross-functionally to find the right people to fill open positions within TechServ. As a part of the Human Resources team, the Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing, attracting, interviewing, hiring and initiating the onboarding process once a candidate is selected. Additionally, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will form close relationships with hiring managers to ensure clear expectations for candidates.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Create and implement end-to-end hiring processes to ensure a positive experience for candidates

Provide input to ensure that teams consist of diverse, qualified individuals

Ensure that staffing needs are being met with a long-term strategy in mind

Devise and implement sourcing strategies, such as an employer branding initiative, to build pipelines for potential applicants
-
Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and candidate selection criteria
-
Source applicants through online channels, such as LinkedIn and other professional networks

Create captivating job postings, job descriptions and interview questions that reflect the requirements for each position

Compile lists of most-suitable candidates by assessing their resumes, portfolios, and references

Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events to build a strong candidate pipeline

Maintain records of all materials used for recruitment, including interview notes and related paperwork, to share with key stakeholders

Maintain regular communication with applicants, providing timely updates on their application status and create a positive candidate experience

Challenge the status quo and proactively identify process improvements
-
Provide regular reports of recruiting and retention metrics to leadership

Manage any special projects assigned by the Director of Human Resources

Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications. We will consider a recent college graduate with a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field in lieu of these qualifications.

Experience in full-cycle recruiting, using various interview techniques and evaluation methods

Proficiency with social media, resume databases, and professional networks

Experience in using LinkedIn Talent Solutions and other resources to proactively source candidates

Proficiency in documenting processes and keeping up with industry trends and best practices

Proven track record of cultivating strong and trusting relationships with cross-functional partners

Self-starter with ability to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

Strong analytical skills to create and interpret reports

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency working with an HRIS/HRM

Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Suite Programs, encompassing Teams, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

Must currently be eligible to work in the United States of America

High School diploma or GED

Ability to pass a background check, Motor Vehicle Report and drug screening
Preferred Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field

SHRM CP or SCP professional designation
Physical Requirements:

Work is performed in a professional office environment and requires the use of standard office equipment (e.g., computer, phone, printer)

Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer are required
-
Occasional standing, walking, and movement throughout the office to access equipment and collaborate with team members
-
The ability to view a computer screen for extended periods, requiring good vision or corrective lenses if needed
-
May occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 15 pounds
-
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Reports to: Director of Human Resources
Job Type: Full Time, Exempt
Travel: up to 10% travel; overnight as needed
Location: Tyler, Texas
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00, extended hours as needed
