Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Engineering Design Project Manager to oversee our joint use engineering projects.

 

Job Description:

The Engineering Design Project Manager will lead a team of 60+ professionals, driving the success of our joint use engineering projects. Candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient workflow management, effective reporting, process optimization, and Profit & Loss (P&L) management. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and project management skills to effectively coordinate large-scale projects and deliver results that meet both company and customer expectations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of 60 engineering designers, ensuring effective collaboration and productivity.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of joint use engineering projects for a major electrical utility.
  • Implement efficient workflow management strategies to optimize team performance.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports and final reports for stakeholders.
  • Drive process optimization to enhance project efficiency and quality.
  • Manage the project’s P&L, ensuring financial targets are met and resources are utilized effectively.
  • Coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, supervisors, and clients, to ensure project alignment with business goals.
  • Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering project management, with a proven track record of managing large teams and complex projects.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficient in workflow management, process optimization, and P&L management.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Skilled in project planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Agile, proactive, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of electrical utility operations and joint use engineering work is a plus.
  • Relocation package available if needed.
