Description

General Summary: Responsible for managing and supporting the operational needs of field personnel while serving as the primary point of contact between the company and its customers. This position facilitates clear and effective communication between employees in the field and internal company teams to ensure project alignment, timely issue resolution, and the successful delivery of services that meet client expectations.

 

 

Core Competencies / Leadership Responsibilities

 

Client Relationship Management – Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients by ensuring clear communication, responsiveness to needs, and consistent delivery of high-quality service.

 

• Field Operations Leadership – Provide guidance and daily operational support to field personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and productive project execution.

 

Customer Satisfaction & Service Delivery – Monitor performance and project progress to ensure work meets or exceeds client expectations and contractual requirements.

 

• Team Leadership & Employee Support – Address employee concerns, mentor team members, and foster a collaborative work environment that promotes accountability and performance.

 

Project Coordination – Support planning, logistics, and resource allocation to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within operational guidelines.

 

Storm Response & Emergency Coordination – Assist in coordinating personnel, logistics, and communication during storm response or high-priority events to support rapid service restoration.

 

• Operational Efficiency – Identify opportunities to improve workflows, streamline processes, and increase organizational effectiveness.

 

Training & Technology Adoption – Support implementation of new systems and tools by training employees and promoting effective utilization.

 

• Equipment  Management – Ensure company vehicles, tools, and equipment are properly maintained, tracked, and utilized responsibly.

 

• Compliance & Reporting – Ensure accurate project documentation, time reporting, and client-required approvals are completed in accordance with company and client standards.

 

• Recruiting & Hiring – Perform recruiting, interviewing, and hiring field personnel to ensure the region maintains a qualified workforce capable of meeting operational and client program demands.This description is a general statement of required essential functions performed on a regular and continuous basis. Experience:   

  • 10+ years experience in utility/construction industry
  • 3-5 years management experience

 

 

 

Skills:

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all segments of the staff, Customers and the Company leadership team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Self-motivator.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational reporting systems.Ability to utilize client work management systems and internal reporting tools.
  • Problem solver.

 

 

 

Education:  

  • High School graduate
  • Preferred, College Degree

 

 

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged sitting and standing required.
  • Occasional need to lift, pull, carry and push items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner at all times.
  • Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and Company needs.

 

 

Environmental/Working Conditions:

  • May work in a routine office environment, remote or a customer’s job site in the field.
  • Ability to work extended hours, as needed.
  • Travel will be required
